Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born in South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. The father of her is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mother is English. Her family was raised on a South London council estate, and when she was fourteen, she attended The Brit School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. As a student at the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began with Storm Damage. Over the past few years Madekwe's appearance in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe's debut film came from her role in the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred alongside Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After the film's success, Madekwe played Elisha in The BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured for six seasons Trexx as well as Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's character on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe also played the main character on How to lose friends & alienate people and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. A couple of her credits on stage include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode drama aired just 2 weeks at The CW and then it was cancelled. In February of 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe starred as a regular character on the drama series of Revenge on ABC for two seasons. The show was announced in May 2013 that she would leave the series after making an appearance in the very first episode of season three. From 2014 until the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. In June 2012, she got married to her long-time partner, actor Iddo Goldberg. They have worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also had a role alongside her on the show Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty as well as four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey during the winter as well as in the summer. She grew up in baseball and arenas. Ashley did not walk, but she was a dancer, and at age 2 1/2 years old she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. It was then that she discovered Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley continued to compete until her high-school graduation in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and much more. Ashley took home the best soloist prize at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among some.
